This course helps students to develop the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for plumbing. Course content: Safe working practices environmental legislation and communication skills Pipework for hot and cold water systems Pipework for central heating systems Rainwater systems Ground drainage systems Maintenance of the above systems - all of which will be carried out in well equipped workshops and teaching environments as well as on-site visits by our assessors to ensure vocational competency. After this course: Continued employment in the industry with the opportunity to become a registered plumber after taking your Water Regulations or obtain your Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and heating in order to become a fully qualified plumber.
Students need to have 2 GCSE passes (Grades A* - D). If you have not achieved a grade D or above in Maths you will need a level 1 pass in the initial College assessment. You must be in employment as a plumber.
