Course Description
The physics and astronomy department provides a stimulating research environment, through postgraduate lectures, informal seminars, group meeting and colloquia, and meetings of the Physics Society and the Astronomical Society. The research in Astro-particle theory and cosmology focuses on: dark matter WIMPs properties and detection, galactic halo models; astroparticle physics of stable and unstable cosmological relics; early Universe cosmology; inflation, CMB, brane worlds, black holes, quantum field theory and gravitation.

UK/EU students: Full-time £3,300 - £4,300 (2008/09 fees)

Assessment by thesis.

Entry Requirements
First or upper second class degree, preferably in physics or an appropriate science subject.
