This course is largely geared to students who have already covered the GCSE course and want to improve their grades. It is also suitable for overseas students who want to progress to A Levels, but have not achieved the required GCSE qualifications to enable them to do so. GCSE Physics aims to provide them with the understanding of the principles and applications of physics, without which the technological society could not function. They will study mechanics, electricity, thermal physics, radioactivity as well as stars and space. In addition, they will consider ‘how science works’ and link this to scientific issues.
Students should be aged between 16 to 18 years and they should have obtained at least four Ds in their GCSEs, including English or Maths.
