This course enables students to explore photographic practice through the creation of original work using both traditional processes and digital technology; the course aims to encourage creative decision-making and critical thinking in preparation for future careers in the photographic art and media industries; photographic practice has been changing in recent years and continues to change; the course focuses on these changes and the possibilities they hold so that students can be effective in this field at any level; in a commercial environment or as a practising artist; from process to production; the critical studies element of the course is designed to help students locate their work in an appropriate context and to help students identify their particular creative direction and in developing their research and analytical skills.
