About this course

Impress your friends and family with amazing night photographs of famous London landmarks!

Photographing Southbank by Night is back! it's designed to introduce photographers to dusk / night photography on different locations along the fabulous Southbank.

There will be plenty of tips and tricks and we will discuss key principle and relevant camera settings and techniques (concepts and composition), use if lenses for dusk and evening photography and then make photos in the selected locations.

Shooting locations around South Bank Hungerford and Golden Jubilee Bridges - People and Car Light Trails - shooting point by the bridge Oxo Tower and City Lights - shooting point by Gabriel's Wharf The London Eye and County Hall - shooting point from Embankment Pier St Paul's Cathedral and Millennium Bridge - shooting point from Tate Modern end of Millennium Bridge

What you will need: Some basic knowledge of camera lenses and aperture, shutter speed and ISO including exposure modes.

A Digital SLR or a Professional Compact camera with full manual exposure mode and, a tripod + remote shutter releaser. If you haven’t got a camera yet you can borrow one of our semi-professional cameras + lenses + tripod and other accessories.

Please contact Ion in advance if you wish to use one of our spare cameras. Price - £85 per person including tips and tricks handout to take home. This also applies to Open Date Gift Vouchers that would make perfect presents.
