Pharmaceutical Science MSc: This course provides students with an introduction to the role of development scientists in the pharmaceutical, healthcare and bioscience industries. The programme explores the development, analysis and production of medicines, the drug industry and regulatory affairs. The course includes the study of trends in chemical, biological and biotechnological therapeutics and the evaluation of the latest technologies used in the pharmaceutical industry; also includes an understanding of the processes and methods used in clinical trials and the regulation of medicines.
Modules include: Current practice in drug development; research skills - molecular analysis; biotechnology and drug discovery; drug design and chemotherapy; independent research project; current topics in pharmaceutical science; molecular pharmacology and toxicology.
