This pathway is designed for those who have completed a recognised course of study at foundation level (A-level, BTEC, Access or equivalent) to the required standard and who have the potential for development at a higher level. It aims to develop students skills by: developing processes of observation, imagination and creative use of self, providing opportunities and experience of the process of professional rehearsal and performance techniques, developing good vocal function, clarity and muscularity of speech, examining the variety of tools open to the actor with which to develop characters, employing techniques to sustain vocal performance within a piece of text, with confidence and competence, developing the body as an instrument of expression and transformation, focusing on the sensation of action, integrating the vocal, physical and psychological aspects of acting in their performance.
