This course is for people working with younger children under the age of 8 years old or working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education or Nursery Workers, including: child minders nannies, au pairs parents, teachers classroom assistants and playgroup assistants. The course also takes into account the common illnesses and injuries that can occur, including: aims and principles of first aid, anaphylaxis, asthma, bleeding, burns, choking, management of the unconscious casualty, basic life support, head injuries and other specific childhood conditions.
