This is a 5-day taught module followed by an assignment and is available as a stand-alone PGA or as a module within the MSC sexual and reproductive health care programme; this course gives students a comprehensive overview of the issues surrounding the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis;designed to help those who are interested in developing a fuller understanding of current concepts and best practice in clinical management of osteoporosis, and also those who anticipate a future role in this rapidly developing area of health care; designed to meet the need for CPD and CME in a multi-disciplinary context and is aimed at primary as well as secondary care sector professionals; consists of lectures, tutorials and workshops held in the medical school building at the University of Warwick;there is a substantial component of home study with appropriate tutor support and contact time.
