Course Description
OVERVIEW:This two-day course is suitable for farmers and growers who have a limited knowledge of organic production methods and who are considering converting to organic production.COURSE CONTENT:- Basic concepts of organic production - Organic Certification - Organic livestock and crops - Organic vegetables and horticulture - Conversion to organic production - Organic Farming Scheme details - Marketing of organic produce Optional sessions are organised to suit needs. A visit to the Greenmount Organic Unit is included. Visiting industry speakers or a visit to an organic farm may be included in the course.

Venue Description
Greenmount Campus is situated three kilometres from Antrim, a busy town with good amenities. Belfast is a short drive away. Translink operates a comprehensive rail and bus service linking towns and cities across Northern Ireland and linking up with the rail and bus networks in the Republic of Ireland.
