The courses offer students the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes to become safe and competent practitioners; students develop the skills required to function effectively and efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team, within the operating department environment; students undertake work placements with different 'teams' in operating departments (e.g. general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology); successful completion confers eligibility to apply for entry to the register of the Health Professions Council.
Modules include: Anaesthetic care; surgical care; safety in practice.
