This BSc nursing programme leads to professional registration as a children's nurse; students learn to care for children, young people and their families in hospital, community and primary healthcare settings; the integration of theory and research-based practice in the classroom and the clinical setting is emphasised throughout the programme; the programme provides an academic and practical foundation that acts as a springboard for high quality nursing practice; half the programme is spent in clinical practice with placements providing opportunities to develop clinical skills.
