This course offers registered nurses and health visitors the opportunity to achieve a Diploma or Honours degree in nursing practice by part-time study; students may follow 1 of a number of specialised pathways: Acutely ill adult; cancer and palliative care; children's nursing; diabetes care; gastrointestinal care; learning disability; mental health nursing; older adult; pain management; primary health care; tissue viability; or undertake a more generalised award; some may lead to specialist practitioner status (NMC); some modules may also be appropriate for other healthcare professionals wishing to obtain academic credit.
