BSc (Hons) Nursing (Diploma to Degree) programme is an honours degree intended for Registered Nurses who have already completed a three-year programme of study at Diploma level, normally within the last two years in England or Wales. You will receive written and verbal feedback throughout your programme to help keep you on track. On successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded with a BSc (Hons) Nursing. Our BSc (Hons) Nursing (Diploma to Degree) programme combines theory and practice in a practical programme that will enhance your professional skills and actively develop your approach to patient care. You will complete two core modules and choose 45 credits from a range of 15-credit modules, which have been designed in collaboration with nursing practitioners and senior managers. You can study this programme allowing you to fit your studies with in your demanding work schedule. You'll also benefit from a blended learning approach including seminars, tutorials, tutor directed and self-directed study. You'll also be supported by expert tuition delivered locally or at your place of work. The BSc (Hons) Nursing (Diploma to Degree) programme uses a range of assessment methods designed to test specific skills and learning outcomes achieved during each module of study. These include Written assignments, Presentations, Research critique and Dissertation.
Students complete two core modules: Research Appreciation and Methodology; and Advancing Professional Practice. Students also complete three of the following optional modules: Facilitating Teaching; Learning and Assessment in Practice; Applied Pharmacology and Therapeutics In Contemporary Children's Nursing Practice; Applied Pharmacology and Therapeutics In Contemporary Mental Health Nursing Practice; Promoting Public Health; Problem Based Learning/Negotiated Learning; Applied Pharmacology and Therapeutics In Contemporary Adult Nursing Practice; or Psychological Approaches In Mental Health Practice.
