This nursing (adult route) degree programme is 1 of 4 options for studying nursing within our school of health and human sciences, all of which lead to registration with the nursing and midwifery council and an associated academic award; during this course students not only study alongside other health professionals learning with them, but also get the opportunity to learn expert knowledge from them; some teaching is through problem-based learning (pbl).
Year 1: Core modules; applied biosciences; foundations in nursing practice; personal development; principles of adult nursing; psychosocial aspects of care. Year 2: Core modules; introduction to research; long term conditions; medical nursing; nursing skills B (adult); professional issues B; surgical nursing. Year 3: Core modules; acute adult nursing; nursing management; nursing skills C (adult); professional issues C; research.
