From the bench to the bed side bringing neuroscience to the clinical workplace; this is a flexible programme designed for health professionals with an interest in neurological rehabilitation wishing to enhance their career potential in this field; the programme is transferable across health care settings nationally and internationally and enables students to apply underpinning principles to their specific areas of work; it encourages debate, critique and self analysis of a health care professional�s own clinical practice; it enables students to promote and lead change and be responsive in a changing health care environment; the School of Health Professions is a multidisciplinary environment and supports the rehabilitation research group led by Professor Jonathan Marsden; this programme is part of the Faculty of Health and Social Work Integrated Master's Scheme.
PgCert: Problem solving in neurological rehabilitation; management of long-term conditions; sensorimotor control of functional movement; cognition, perception and behaviour. PgDip: Research methods; research and project design; principles and practice of data analysis; Optional module: Pathomechanics and rehabilitation of balance and gait; injection therapy (corticosteroid and botulinum toxin routes available); evaluating outcomes in clinical practice; exercise prescription in health and wellness; advancing practice through continuous professional development (1); advancing practice through continuous professional development (2). Master's: Research project.
