Compulsory induction programme (law; economics; finance; the production of petroleum and minerals; graduate research methodology) worth 20 credits; core and elective modules to the total value of 140 credits; a dissertation or equivalent worth 40 credits; Diploma: induction programme plus an additional 120 module credits; general degree therefore no recommended core or elective modules; students may choose from whatever is available on the academic timetable subject to any restrictions that may apply; LLM candidates are required to complete an additional 40 credits as follows: dissertation of up to 15,000 words on a topic approved by an academic supervisor; an internship; a 3 month work placement, approved by an academic supervisor; includes the submission of a written report.
