Course Description
The arts of indigenous North America are among the world's most intriguing examples of human creativity. From Alaskan shamanic arts dedicated to transformation and the contact with the supernatural, to the elaborate mural paintings of astronomically aligned Pueblo buildings, this module explores the complex relationships between art forms and cultural contexts developed by the unique cultures of North America over a period of more than 10,000 years.
