The National Design Academy (NDA) has over 21 years of experience offering interior design qualifications from diploma to degree, all available as distance learning, which gives students the opportunity to study a validated, funded BA (Hons) without the need for student loans, and with a course flexible enough to fit in around existing work and family committments. Students can enrol at any time and choose a start date that suits their existing commitments.

The Foundation Degree (FdA) in Interior Design and BA (Hons) Interior Design are validated by Staffordshire University, ensuring students gain a valid, well-recognised qualification. Through our partnership with Staffordshire University, we train more interior design graduates than any other British university.

As Affiliate Members of BIID (The British Institute of Interior Design - formally BIDA) all NDA degree students can become members, ensuring contact with professional bodies and the opportunity to participate in a number of activities.

The degree courses are studied part time and delivered online via a Virtual Learning Studio (VLS), which gives access to all course content, news, contact with tutors and other students, and the ability to upload coursework directly to the VLS.

Regular open days and workshops are available for students to attend to enhance their learning, held at the Academy in Nottingham.

NDA Private Clients is the National Design Academy's award-winning interior design practice situated on the NDA campus. Specialising in both residential and commercial interior design, it has an extensive portfolio of client projects. This expertise is embedded throughout the course with additional workshops providing feedback from the Practice Manager.
