The National Design Academy (NDA) is a leading Centre of Excellence in Interior Design with over 23 years of distance learning experience. NDA courses are delivered via distance learning, with in-studio options available for those that want to fast track their diploma. Students achieve recognised qualifications at NOCN Diploma Level 3, with Foundation (FdA) and BA (Hons) Degrees validated by Staffordshire University. Government funding is available for all courses. LA part-time student grants are available to cover course fees and equipment for the foundation degree. Through partnership with Staffordshire University, the National Design Academy trains more interior designers than any other British university.

What's on offer

The NDA’s Diploma in Professional Interior Design and Soft Furnishings are both available to study via distance learning or in-studio.

The Foundation Degrees (FdA) and BA (Hons) Degrees are delivered online via the NDA’s unique Virtual Learning Studio (VLS) and are validated by Staffordshire University.

A workshop programme is offered to enhance courses and provide an opportunity for students to meet each other and tutors. The NDA's Art Shop stocks books and equipment at student prices.

Students may also gain experience of live projects by working with the Academy’s private Interior Design Practice.
