This course is designed for participants who wish to enter the hospitality industry who wish to gain the necessary skills to become chefs. The course consists of core generic and optional modules of study, along with literacy at Level 2. On completion of course, they may gain direct entry into employment in a junior position within the food preparation area of the hospitality industry or may be eligible to continue their studies at Higher Education level. It is also available for international participants.
Participants should have completed BTEC Level 2 in Hospitality with independent trade test, NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking, VRQ2 Chefs Diploma or Other recognised Uk and overseas related FE Level 2 awards.
