This course will introduce students to the practical and theoretical skills they need to work as an assistant or on reception in a range of professional establishments. They will cover: anatomy and physiology, introduction to the hair and beauty sector, preparing and maintaining the beauty therapy work areas, assisting with facial and nail treatments, health and safety in the salon, reception duties, customer service, nail art, make-up, etc.
Students will need to have a genuine interest in the beauty therapy industry. It is beneficial, but not essential, to have achieved Salon Services Certificate Level 1. Entry is subject to a successful interview.
