This course covers the skills and underpinning knowledge necessary to gain employment in salons as a barber. Students will study the following units: health and safety, customer care, consultation, cutting, shampoo and condition hair and scalp, cut hair using barbering techniques, cut facial hair, colouring, develop and maintain their effectiveness at work. On successful completion of this course they could progress onto higher level courses like the NVQ 3 hairdressing.
