This course covers all the skills and background knowledge necessary for employment in salons, clinics or their own home visiting practice. Students will study the following units: reception duties, commercial salon activities, health and safety, manicure/pedicure, employment standards, essential knowledge and understanding. On successful completion of this course they could progress onto the NVQ 2 beauty therapy.
Students will need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and mature approach to learning, good communication skills and an ability to work with others and will attend an information session and a one-to-one interview.
