Creative work consists of projects in composition with digital audio technology, including interdisciplinary work; students� learn technical skills such as the principles and practical applications of digital audio technologies; critical studies are covered through a historical, theoretical and cultural study of topics in music and technology and musicianship is developed through aural awareness, listening skills and acoustics.
Year 1: Foundations of music; techniques of digital audio; creating and performing; digital cultures. Year 2: Making musical forms and structures; creative sound recording and production; contemporary composition and aesthetics; programming for creative music technology. Year 3: Dissertation; advanced creative projects; sound design and image; music technology in context.
