This course offers a hands-on experience whilst also teaching students how to manage and protect their creativity; modules in intellectual property management and record contract negotiations ensure that students know how to make a living from popular music; there are relevant and regular input from music and audio industry professionals; study visits to top venues, festivals and recording studios; work experience opportunities; access to purpose built digital recording and production facilities and opportunities to work in their own purpose-built live music venue; it is expected that an application reflects either a self-taught or a trained musical ability, with at least some experience of either recording or performance.
