Students develop their abilities to write about, talk about and present music through lectures, seminars, screenings, practical workshops and independent study, writing, recording, editing (radio, television and print), interviewing, reviewing and analysis; the 1st year provides a grounding in the fundamentals, theory and practice, including law for journalists; year 2 builds on key theoretical and practical perspectives and skills, featuring work placement; the 3rd year is built around concentration on specialist genres and topics and a self-managed major project or academic dissertation; a wide range of options are available in all 3 years of the award.

The pace of the course is very fine. First semester is basic so its easy but in the second semester it takes you to the deep end....more
taught modules were pretty good. But wish the course length is more so that there will more time spend with the lecturers. More learning....more
