Level 1: Covers foundations for clinical practice as well as introducing students to midwifery; there is strong biological science input; clinically there are 2 modules, which are assessed in practice. Level 2: Developing their knowledge, this year considers the deviations from normal, which may occur, in clinical practice; healthcare ethics and law are introduced as well as an introduction to evidence based practice; midwifery practice is assessed in clinical modules. Level 3: Consolidates the 2 previous years, with clinical practice modules along side theory; there are optional modules available in this year.
