Our Summer School is the most popular fully integrated summer programme for university level study in the UK. Last year, more than 700 students attended, choosing from over 60 appealing courses, covering a wide range of interests. 

 

What's on offer

 

Now in its seventeenth year, our Summer School is the largest of its kind in the UK. Its popular format offers students the opportunity to share ideas with people from different backgrounds and experiences. Classes are small, averaging 15 students, to complement the friendly, informal and interactive teaching style. The emphasis is on seminars but the teaching pattern can include lectures, tutorials, workshops, field trips, studio and lab sessions. Classes are taught by Middlesex lecturers or experienced external practitioners.

With a wide range of subject areas covered, the range of courses is too extensive to list here but options are available in the arts, computing, business, human resource management, marketing, languages, health, personal development, politics, psychology and social science, to name but a few. Each course is selected for its special interest and wide appeal.

Accomodation

Halls of residence are available to all Summer School students. These are located on the Trent Park Campus and offer basic single study bedrooms with free internet points and shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. A communal lounge with TV/video games is also available, providing you with space to socialise and mix with others. Easy to use laundrette facilities are situated inside the hall for your convenience and there are security staff and wardens on duty in halls 24 hours a day. A room costs £25 per night for Summer School students who are not already studying at the university.
