Course Qualification: To earn the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Access 2003 qualification you must pass the certification exam. Office Specialist exams provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise by evaluating overall comprehension.

Self StudySTUDY TIME40 hours over 6 monthsWhilst studying with Open Learning, you will be supported by the Open Learning team, you will have access to the College Libraries, and the IT Centre. You will be assigned a tutor who is a subject specialist in your chosen course. Your tutor is there to support you through the course and provide assistance with the learning materials.
Course Fees
This course costs £120 (subsidised rate for students who have been resident in the E.E.A. for 3 years). The cost of the assessment is £50.00 with a free resit if necessary.
Entry Requirements
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Access 2003 is open to anyone - regardless of age, education, experience or background. Although this course is designed to take students from basic Microsoft Office knowledge through to certification, you need to have basic Microsoft Access 2003 skills and therefore the course is not suitable for complete beginners.Please contact Open Learning openlearning@abcol.ac.uk if you require further information on entry requirements.
Equipment and Materials
You must have Microsoft Office 2003 software installed, to carry out the practice exercises. You will therefore receive a 180-day trial version of Microsoft Office Professional 2003 and dynamic interactive tutorials from the Microsoft e-Learning Library.Please note : Microsoft Works would not be adequate for this purpose.
