Managers with responsibilities for mentoring staff or other Managers in an 'off line' working relationship. It would also be suitable for Learning or Teaching Managers who are conducting reviews of the performance of trainers or teachers, in an 'off line' relationship. The course requires the production of a portfolio of evidence for four learning and development units: - Supporting learners by mentoring in the workplace - Supporting and advising individual learners - Monitoring and reviewing progress with learners - Evaluating and developing own practice Candidates working towards the qualifications must therefore be working in a role with their learners which is outside the line manager/ staff member relationship, perhaps across the organisation with different departments. Assessment Candidates will complete a portfolio of evidence, drawn largely from their current work. Recent work will be considered. The portfolio will also include individually negotiated coursework evidence, planned to cover any of the award requirements that cannot be met through evidence from current work.
