This course provides an in-depth understanding of the media make-up industry and an insight into the role of make-up artists in relation to stage, television and film, fashion editorial and promotional shoots; students are taught the skills and creative flair to use make-up to express emotions, transform faces and portray character and the technical and artistic skills for complete make-up transformations; students explore the research skills required to ensure the quality and accuracy of character portrayal and learn skills in the art of hair work, character development, body painting, wig-making and prosthetics; they also gain a comprehensive portfolio of work to show prospective employers and their is an opportunity to undertake a work placement.
