Year 2: thermofluid mechanics; fluid mechanics and mechanical design; analytical techniques 2; computer-aided engineering CAE and structural mechanics; dynamic systems; instrumentation and control systems and project management and product development. Year 3: optional work placement. Final year: mechanical engineering design; introduction to micro electro-mechanical systems or manufacturing strategy; mechanics and properties of materials; control systems; thermofluid mechanics and heat transfer and vibration and noise; an individual project.
