This course is for those who wish to gain a thorough theoretical understanding of the subject, perhaps in preparation for study at a higher level. There are six modules: four compulsory pure mathematics modules (pure core 1, 2, 3 and 4) and two applied modules (form statistics 1, mechanics 1 and decision 1), all chosen to illustrate the variety and scopes of the use of mathematics in today's world. They may progress to higher education to study a programme such as mathematics or a related subject.
