Year 1: Mathematics; statistics; programming; computational mathematics; algebra; calculus; geometry and vectors. Year 2: Calculus and linear algebra; mathematical methods; optional subjects, modules are chosen from: dynamical systems and analysis; applied and numerical mathematics; data analysis; mathematical statistics; statistical methods and random processes; imperative programming; operating systems and database modelling; computer systems and software engineering. At least 1 of the 1st 2 optional subjects must be taken. Year 3: 7 modules are chosen from an extensive list of topics covering aspects of pure and applied mathematics, statistics and computing, together with a project. Year 3: 7 modules are chosen from an extensive list of topics covering aspects of pure and applied mathematics; statistics and computing, together with stage 1 of a project. Year 4: 6 modules are chosen to differ from those taken at part 3, together with stage 2 of a project; optional year studying abroad or a year in professional placement between parts 2 and 3.
