Entry Requirements
Essential: A good BA/BSc degree from a recognised institution (or equivalent from outside the UK); Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience post-first degree in a managerial, supervisory or administrative capacity; Fluency in English - if your native language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90 (233 computer-based, 575 paper-based) will be required; Desirable: Fluency in at least one language other than English; Sound command of business-related skills, such as interpersonal relations, leadership and creativity. We recognise the GMAT system and will accept candidates who achieve a minimum score of 500 with a balanced perfomance across the sections. The GMAT is not an essential entry criterion for those candidates with a first degree, it is highly recommended that students wishing to enter the course via the exceptional entry route, as outlined, should take the GMAT. EBS London encourages applications from candidates who do not have the traditional academic background or a first degree. Our admissions policy is to review each case on its merit and assist applicants in this process, and whilst we have set out the general conditions for exceptional entry we advise candidates to contact the admissions department and discuss their case and circumstances with us. Where candidates do not meet the essential requirements, EBSL will look at entry by exception. In order to be selected for a place on the course through this route, the applicant must achieve the following: 5 years' relevant work experience (see above); a satisfactory personal statement of learning. This will be between 1200 and 1500 words in length and will address the candidate's rationale for choosing the MBA; an account of previous learning experiences; a description of how this previous experience is of relevance to the MBA; a statement about how the candidate expects their MBA to support future career choices.
