Course Description
The full-time MBA last one year. The taught part of the programme consists of a programme induction followed by six compulsory modules: Accounting and Financial Management; The Corporate Environment; Managing People in Structures; Managing Processes; Marketing and Serving the Customer; Strategic Management and the Management of Change. There is also a compulsory Research Methods module to help you in planning your project/dissertation work. You also take two elective modules from the following options: Business Finance; Current Issues in Public Sector Management; International Business; International Marketing; Procurement in an International Context. The Executive MBA takes two and a half years part-time study following a modular structure. There are ten modules, eight of which are taught, and two that you complete in your own time. These include six core modules and two electives which are each taught over a one-week residential period. You take four of these modules in Year 1 and four in Year 2. Dates are released in good time for students and their employers to agree the time away from the company. An intensive week's programme is followed by coursework assignments and examinations where appropriate. Core modules include: Accounting and Finance; The Corporare Environment; Managing processes; Marketing and Serving the Customer; People and Organisations; Strategy. The elective choices include: Business finance; Current Issues in the Public Sector; International Business; International Marketing; Procurement in an International Context. Students must complete two projects over a six-month period. The first is a company project/business report which allows you to tackle a real live business issue in the workplace. The second, a management skills report, gives you opportunity to reflect on your own business skills and your strengths and weaknesses, and to design a programme of personalised continuous professional development.
Course Fees
The standard fee for 2007/08: £3350 (full-time); part-time pro-rata. Course fees are subject to change and you are advised to check the current details with the course provider before enrolling on this course. Fees vary according to the subject chosen (especially in respect of Science & Management disciplines); details of 2008/09 fess will be available from the provider from March 2008.

A good first degree or an equivalent professional qualification and at least three years' managerial work experience; as well as evidence of progression/ success in career (to be evidenced in CV).
