The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) was founded by Maria Montessori to uphold the high standards which she insisted upon. Today the AMI is a dynamic organisation, active in every continent and recognised worldwide for the quality of its training and the scope of its work. In Britain, the Maria Montessori Institute (MMI) is accredited by – and under the continual supervision of – the Association Montessori International, to guarantee that these standards are always maintained. All lectures, tutorials, written assignments and course material are prepared and delivered under the direct supervision of qualified Montessori trainers, authorised by Association Montessori Internationale.
