Course Description
In summary, the qualification aims to enable candidates to: Develop their understanding of payroll procedures in a manual environment. Develop the skills to perform routine and some non-routine payroll tasks. Understand the importance of accuracy and security in performing any payroll task. Upon completion, candidates should progress in their learning to further develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in: Using aspects of a computerised payroll system incorporating use of commercial payroll software. Further studies of Inland Revenue procedures including month and year end. Upon the completion of study for this unit, it is intended that the candidate will be able to: Provide an overview of the Payroll Function, Calculate Gross Pay, Adjust pay for Statutory Contributions and Deductions, Set up pay for starters, Complete and maintain key documents and records, Understand different methods of payment.

Assessment method
Assessment at the end of every unit (sent to us through the Free Post, marked by your tutor and sent back to you) and exam at the end of the course.
