Course Description
Students will need to successfully complete 5 core units and 3 optional units. The Core Units are: Developing their own management style - they will learn how to manage their own skills and development in order to meet performance objectives, and how to develop effective working relationships. Managing Resources: They will learn about the principles, methods and techniques for managing physical, financial and human resouces. Meeting customer needs: They will learn how to create customer focus and plan how to meet customers needs and quality requirements. Communication and Information Management - They will learn about knowledge management and how to develop the effective use of information and communication management. Managing Performance: Students will learn how to manage them and their team in order to make performance objectives. The optional units available are: Recruitment and Selection: They will learn how to identify the personnel requirements for they team and how to take a leading role in the recruitment and selection process. Developing Individuals and Teams: They will learn about planning to meet the HR requiremnts of their organisation and how to identify team and individual development needs. Financial Management: They will learn how to manage financial resources and how they can contribute to effective resource planning and business performance review. Marketing Management: Students will learn how to identify and make stakeholder needs, including the role of e-commerce. Principles of Project Management: They will develop an understanding of the core principles of programme and project management.
