Attention aspiring and actual musicians, and film makers!
Have you ever wondered how computers help create music, soundtracks or podcasts? Many successful artists in various fields of music use GarageBand to compose and mix music. Come and join our certified trainer to get a helping hand with your aspirations.
GarageBand offers a wide range of audio possibilities and comes pre-installed on new Apple computers. Learn how to import MIDI and audio, organise files, and edit your work, enabling you to compose and arrange your own songs and music.
Guidance over the course will include working with the timeline, internal loops, self-generated patterns, beats, arrangements and exploring an infinite range of sound possibilities with reverb, effects and EQ.
Depending on the group’s interest areas the course may also look at the use of GarageBand as an audio editor for tidying the recordings of speech and sound clips.
Finally you will learn how to “Bounce down” / "Mix” your song or sound sequence, so you can save and share your finished product with the world, whether on your iPod, iPhone, burning to disc, or presenting via the web. You could even set your GarageBand project as your ringtone!
