Accredited in 1992 as a ’modern‘ university, London South Bank University (LSBU) has been an educational institution since 1892. Our dynamic inner-city university has a diverse multi-cultural population - with our 20,000 students coming from the local community, across the UK and from around the world. LSBU is located in a rapidly developing part of Southwark and in walking distance to the cultural facilities of London’s South Bank.

We have a rich diversity of courses on offer which range from relatively short diploma courses to full time Masters and Doctoral programmes, many of which have been developed in partnership with professional bodies.

Our postgraduate community is made up nearly 5,000 students, including a large international contingent. Our teaching and research staff includes a high proportion of practicing professionals, crucial for maintaining the relevance of our curriculum. We recognise that postgraduate students are usually combining study with demanding careers, and we seek to address this through high quality learning support and new teaching and learning techniques.
