The London Institute of Technology (LIT) was initially set up as a training and research centre in 1987. Since then it has evolved into an institute of higher education by continually striving towards developing quality and value in its services.

The philosophy behind the Institute is to establish the concept of higher education with innovation and excellence for young people who cannot otherwise afford it. LIT mission is to bridge the gap in modern education for people, especially from developing nations who contribute to the betterment of their countries while developing themselves. As such the Administration, the faculty and other stakeholders have been involved in the Institute’s development for the past decade or so by offering their time and labour and most of all using their industrial academic and professional experiences for the benefit of students in all teaching programmes offered at the Institute.

What’s on offer
The LIT faculty is cultivated from universities across the United Kingdom and abroad. It includes professors, Associate Professors, lectures as well as tutors. These faculty members are involved in consultancies, research, directorship of companies etc. and as such they bring their experiences and contacts to LIT. LIT also invite visiting faculty from across the Globe. The faculty provides valuable assistance and advice to students.

LIT has an in-house very up-to-date library equipped with journals and magazines, and membership of an on-line library. It also has the advantage of a public library within its building. Students therefore get the advantage of these facilities LIT also has an up-to-date facility on a range of computer programmes to use for subjects such as Information System, Accounts and Finance, Research and Statistics.

Subject Strengths
LIT offers both professional and academic courses. These include ACCA, CAT, CIMA, IMIS, ABE programmes. LIT Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma are quite popular. These provide sound foundation for further studies and are good for job prospects as they are taught with the Global perspective using modern teaching methods to be skilful and knowledgeable.

LIT has now introduced Claflin University (South Carolina) MBA programme. First batch of students have already started. Claflin University is an over hundred years old well established university and ranks among the top ten in the South. Its MBA Programme is a key to climb managerial ladder in the Global market. Some of the Claflin Business School faculty will be teaching at LIT Campus.
