“Having decided on a career change to filmmaking, my initial attempts to break into the industry proved relatively futile, with little prior experience to back up any applications. Taking the one-year Filmmaking Diploma at the LFA resolved this. The intensity of the diploma course, combined with a great deal of hard work, gave me a great grounding in all aspects of the film industry, short films on my showreel and friends from all over the world. I've now worked as a 1st Assistant Editor on four feature films, have edited several short films and am soon to start editing my first 35mm feature, directed by LFA classmate Rodrigo Lebrija.”
After graduation in 2002, Rob has now worked on four feature films as 1st Assistant Editor to Editor Eddie Hamilton, a visiting LFA tutor.
Rob’s credits include: Spivs directed by Colin Teague, Resident Evil: Apocalypse(budget of $45 million) directed by Alexander Witt (2nd Unit Director: Pirates of the Caribbean, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator), The Shadow Dancer directed by Brad Mirman (Crime Spree) and Minotaur directed by Jonathan English. Rob has also edited numerous short films and his first 35mm feature, directed by LFA classmate Rodrigo Lebrija. He was 1st Assistant Editor on the six-part ITV comedy-drama Life Begins, Assistant Editor on the special of Cracker (ITV). He is currently Assistant Editor on Inspector Morse spin-off Lewis. At the same time he is also editing an HD music video and a 16mm short.

“Having experienced the work of the London Film Academy at first hand, I was keen to take on graduates for work placements. Without exception they have proved themselves to be diligent, committed and enthusiastic and I would not hesitate to recommend them – indeed some have already gone on to work on our productions in various capacities.”
