What's on offer
Lewisham College offers a very wide range of subjects with particular strengths in vocational areas. We attract students who are still at school, have just left school, who want to go on to university, adults wanting to brush up their skills or study for a professional qualification, and employers and employees looking for industry standard training and qualifications.
With over 280 vocational and academic courses at Lewisham College, students can choose a programme that’s right for them in an environment that's fun and stimulating supported by some of the best facilities in London, including two Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs): Computing & IT and Hospitality & Catering. Both have strong links with employers and offer excellent career opportunities. The Hospitality & Catering CoVE provides study in a state-of-the-art e-learning kitchen and offers students work placements in some of the city’s top kitchens. We have also recently introduced a new facility for flexible construction learning, enabling access to our construction suites for those who are employed and need to train outside of their normal working hours.
There are also many opportunities to get involved in activities through the Lewisham College Student Union.
The Access Team organise a range of support for students with physical or sensory impairments.
If students are not sure what they want to do, the dedicated guidance team offers advice on finding the right course. They can also guide individuals through money matters and childcare issues.
