This course is suitable for anyone working in a fabrication and welding environment that has the potential to succeed in the standards required. It is suitable for participants seeking recognition of their competence in one, or more, of a wide variety of activities, such as: manual welding welding machine operating plastic welding sheet metal work plate work structural steelwork pipe and tube fabrication thermal cutting rail welding To be eligible for this qualification, all candidates must be working in the fabrication and welding industry and in a role akin to that nature of this qualification. You will be interviewed prior to the start of the course to ensure that the designated level can be achieved. Evidence must be generated in the workplace to the standards required by the awarding body. Assessments will be carried out on each activity, and evidence will be collated into a portfolio by the candidate under the guidance of the assessor. The evidence will be verified and if acceptable a certificate is issued. The course is based on practical tasks and underpinning knowledge, and so you will not need to attend college. After completing this course, participants will progress to Fabrication and Welding Engineering Level 3.
