The level 2 NVQ Diploma in Barbering is designed for candidates who wish to work in the Barbering industry. This qualification also provides suitable progression opportunities to level 2 and 3 NVQ courses in hairdressing. This course will give you basic barbering skills in shampooing, cutting, creating patterns, styling and shaping beards.
3 GCSEs at grade D or above and a good level of written and spoken English. Industry background in barbering is desirable but not necessary as students are encouraged to complete a minimum of 4 hours a week on a work experience placement in a barbers shop or hairdressing salon with a barbers section, for the duration of the course.
