This course provides an introduction to all aspects of working with the countryside and conservation, this course comprises a blend of theory and practical sessions. It covers contents that include: countryside and environment industry and organisations, land-based machinery operations, conservation and improvement of British habitats, ecology of trees, woods and forests, practical land-based skills, work related experience in countryside and environment and functional skills.
Participants should have a profile of a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades C - D, which preferably include 2 in English, Maths or Science within this range.
