This course provides an introduction to the hair and beauty sector and gives progression the hairdressing and beauty level 2 qualification. It covers contents that include: introduction to the hair and beauty sector, presenting professional image in a salon, shampoo and conditioning, colour in the hair and beauty sector, skin care, hand care, styling women's hair, plaiting and twisting hair, applying basic make-up, themed face painting, nail art and the art of dressing hair.
Students should be 16 years of age or over. They should have 4 GCSEs at G or above or equivalent.
