This course aims to introduce students the world of hairdressing and beauty therapy. They will develop their basic hairdressing and beauty skills by assisting stylists and beauty therapists in the define hairdressing and beauty salons, working on a range of subjects including reception duties, presenting a professional image, the art of dressing hair, basic make-up, skin care, hand and nail care. It will allow them to progress onto hairdressing, nail service or beauty therapy courses.
Students should have a range of GCSEs at E-G including English and preferably Maths and Science or equivalent OR An Entry Level course with good grades and evidence of ability to achieve at a higher level. Entry is subject to a successful interview.
